Project 9.3 Virtual Design Challenge Day 3 Hr 1

Problem 9.2b Engineering Ethics Design Brief

Client:
 Monsanto

Designer:
 George @ Zaw Win

Problem Statement:
The owner and the board are deeply aware of the the heated

debated between those supporting genetically modified crops

(GMCs), and those against the use and development of bio-tech

 crops.

Design Statement:
Research on the benefits and the arguments regarding

GMCs, which is in the ethical category of Agricultural and

Food Biotech. Make sure to take notes along the way

concerning the research done. Moreove cite the sources using

MLA or APA. Analyze the research to design CD cover, book

cover, or poster that shows the concerns of different sides.

Constraints:
1. Research from un-biased and perspective of different groups

2. Use reliable and multiple sources

3. Create a Design Brief: three-day research, design, and creation time limit.

4. Use ethical practices in the creation of your model.

Deliverables:
1. Initial research citations

2. Engineering notebook

3. Choose one:
·    CD cover depicting the key findings of the case study
·    Book cover depicting the key findings of the case study
·    Poster depicting the key findings of the case study
Conclusion
1.      What is ethics?

2.      What actions are considered cheating?
Actions should be considered cheating when providing fake reports and plagiarizing ideas of other without their permission or citing them.

3.      What are your rights and responsibilities as a potential engineer?
The engineer needs to consider about societal and environmental impacts their design may cause. Moreover they need to consider the impact on multiple groups due to their design.
