1.         Under what circumstances would it be advantageous to pattern a component?

It is advantageous when the object has repeated features throughout its body.

2.         What is an offset and how is it used?

Offset is an extension of a certain plane. It;s used when the designer wishes to draw somewhere that is not directly on the object in question yet.

3.         What is the difference between a mate and flush constraint?

Mate constraint is sued to attach two different faces while flush is used to align  the two different faces.

4.         What constraint would you use to place a pin inside a hole?

Insert constraint would be most suitable to attach a pin inside a hole.

5.         What is a subassembly?

Sub-assemblies are assemblies made in order to  fix parts together in a group then to bel later assembled together during the final assembly
. 
6.         What advantages does CAD have over technical sketching?

CAD allows drawings to be conveyed precisely aa well as changes made to model or parts to be updated to the drawings immediately.

7.         If dimensional information can be retrieved from CAD part models, then why do engineers create detail drawings of parts?

CAD part models are only accessible through use of computer, however drawings made can be printed . Therefore be used when computer is not available . Moreover it's better to present the design to others using the detail drawings.
