Conclusion
1.       Describe the difference between population standard deviation and sample standard deviation. Describe a scenario in which you would use each.
Sample standard deviation involves prediction of entire population by gathering data from a group. While population standard deviation is when the data of the entire population is known.

2.       Which type of standard deviation (population or sample) is displayed when the Data Analysis Tool is used within Excel?
Sample standard deviation is used.d

3.       How do the statistics that you calculated using Excel compare to the statistics that you calculated by hand for the connector depth data?
It's faster on Excel due to the ability to repeat same functions quickly by dragging from lower right corner.

4.       Other than the calculation of statistics, how could an engineer use a spreadsheet application to increase efficiency?
Spreadsheet is easier to log and share with fellow engineers as well as quickly calculate other functions. Moreover numbers can be quickly organised in orders such as greatest to smallest.
