Conclusion Questions
1.
What is a vanishing point?
The point where the lines meet. Depending on the type of perspective, the number of vanishing points vary.
2.
Aside from the number of vanishing points, what is
the difference between a one-point, two-point, and three-point perspective
sketch?
In one point perspective only the depth meet at one point while the width and height are parallel to each other. In two point perspective, the width and depth have its own vanishing point. While the heights are all parallel to each other. However in three point perspective, the width, depth, and height each has its own vanishing point.
3.
How does a perspective drawing differ from an
isometric drawing of the same object? When would you use a perspective view in
lieu of an isometric drawing?
Perspective drawing provides a more accurate representation of how a human eye would perceive the object, while a isometric drawing doesn't. Perspective view would be used to see how an object would appear in reality or its proportions with its environment.
