Conclusion
1.      Why is it important for engineers to be creative and think outside the box?
 Engineers thinking outside the box allows  them to come up with solutions that previous people may not have thought about. Moreover the problems created normally requires a higher level of thinking than the thinking that created them.

2.      What other characteristics do you believe engineers should possess in order to be successful problem solvers?
Engineers should be  adaptive. The clients normally with give criteria as well as constraints. Furthermore there will be more restrictions due to the technology available. In addition they should be good at management and organization, since there are time constraints as well as executing the design process as a team efficiently.

Why is it important for an engineer to know this piece of information? US customary system has fractions. Moreover SI measurements are only in power of tens while US customary system is not.
